Dr. Pankaj Singh

Dr Pankaj Singh is presently working as Principal consultant Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Saket, New Delhi since February 2021. Prior joining Max Hospital, he had worked as Consultant Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi since November 2015. He completed his MBBS in 2004 and MD Internal Medicine in 2009 from Guwahati Medical College, Guwahati, Assam. In the medical school, he was among those few bright students who received the distinguished North East Council (NEC) scholarship from 2001-2005. He then worked as Senior Resident for three years (2009-2012), Medicine, Neurology division at GTB Hospital and UCMS Medical College, New Delhi. Subsequently, he completed his superspeciality training (DM Gastroenterology) in 2015 from one of the most prestigious institutes in India, IPGMER, Kolkata. Dr Pankaj Singh, has an exceptional academic career. He not only secured ‘first position’ in Internal Medicine residency (2009) but also in DM Gastroenterology (2015). For this academic par-excellence West Bengal Health University awarded him with ‘GOLD MEDAL’, a distinct recognition and highest academic award. He is actively involved in several research projects and has presented his research papers in several National and International Conferences namely, AASLD 2014 at Boston (USA), ACG 2014 at Philadelphia (USA), APDW 2016 at Kobe (Japan), IAP, JPS & AOPA joint conference,2016 at Sendai (Japan), APDW 2023 at Bangkok (Thailand). He also has several academic awards and achievements to his credits. He is an invited ‘Peer Reviewer’ for various National and International journals and has published as many as fifteen publications in Indexed Journal. He never ceases to amaze with his organizational skills, he has been ‘Organizing secretary ‘to many educational activities like ‘Live Endoscopy conferences,’ ‘CME’, ‘Hands-on workshops’ and ‘Physician connect programs.’ Pankaj is a DNB board accredited faculty for ‘DNB teaching program’ and is presently guide and co-guide to four DNB students. Being from ‘middle class Indian family’, he never forgot his roots. As a service to the society, he regularly conducts free health camps and voluntary outreach OPDs at distant places in north and north-east India. At Max Super Speciality Hospital, Saket, Dr Pankaj Singh is working as a team of highly efficient and competent doctors who harbours the skill and courage to take most of the challenging and difficult cases. With availability of the State-of-the-art facilities, over last few years GI Centre at Max has evolved as one of the finest centers in whole of the North India. At his present position as ‘Principal Consultant’ Dr Pankaj Singh is skilled enough to perform almost all the advanced endoscopic procedures (ERCP, therapeutic EUS, third space Endoscopy, Cholangioscopy, Enteroscopy, Image enhanced endoscopy and bariatric endoscopy). With over 24 years of experience in medical field and 12 years of clinical practice as a gastroenterologist and hepatologist, Dr Pankaj Singh is particularly gifted in human interactions and effectively weaves his tremendous knowledge and passion in delivering optimized patient care for each of his patients.
